This review is about the seven volumes of Olvasópróba (Reading Rehearsal) which is a drama anthology series published by Selinunte Publishing Office. The books contain 32 Hungarian contemporary plays. All of these dramas have already had at least one premier in Hungarian theaters. The contents of the plays focus on family affairs, hidden or very problematic social, historical events, and other phenomena. Their style is complex, entertaining, sometimes downright realistic, but usually with a poetic overtone. This series is an initiative that fills a gap in Hungary.
