Abstract:
This text is a preface to Lili Erdős’s thesis written in 2024 at the University of Theatre and Film Arts (SzFE) in Budapest. Drawing on Thierry De Duve’s critique of educational paradigms and Ronald Barnett’s concept of the missing ontological dimension in higher education, the text reflects on how creativity is cultivated within different frameworks and how it functions as a dynamic force beyond artistic production. It questions the role of creativity in artistic training and its broader implications for personal and professional development. It argues that creativity is not merely an innate talent or an industrial demand but an interpersonal force shaping learning and self-awareness.
